Our wholesalers will receive Nugget Nectar drops between February 16th and February 24th. We want to release this beer as fresh as possible and we will identify exact shipping dates as soon as we get a few packaging runs under our belts. Due to the high demand for Nugget Nectar we expect to make two drops at each wholesaler between mid-February and mid-March to get entire allotments across our markets. As soon as we have working dates, we will contact each wholesaler with first and second drop dates. We thank you for your patience and fear not, we are squeezing those hops for all they are worth and Nugget Nectar will be out this year!

We have some exciting brewery news to share with you! Today in the tasting room we will be releasing a small batch of Rugged Trail Nut Brown Ale on tap around 2-3pm. It was brewed on the scratch system and will not be bottled. The Chocolate Berry Weizenbock Scratch beer will be packaged early in the week of February 6th. The Triple Mango IPA is scheduled to be released around March 1st.

A set of hi-hat cymbals was “borrowed” from Troegs Brewery sometime over the weekend of January 28. These cymbals belonged to our grandfather have sentimental value far greater than their monetary value. We will ask no questions upon their return and will offer the returnee two bottles of SPLINTER BLACK and a healthy dose of good karma. Thanks for your help. Cheers - Chris & John Trogner

We had a really great year of artists submitting funky and creative works of art featuring Troegs bottle caps. This year's Grand Prizer winner was Doug Kreiser for his stained glass hop vine entitled "Forever Hops".
Not only did Doug make this hop vine by hand, but he also included a book with it explaining the type of environment that it would grow best in and a watering guide.

To make it more interesting this year, we decided to also include a "Fans' Choice Award" that was chosen via "likes" on Facebook. Denise and Jim Glenn won with the artfully crafted Troegs Light.

  Troegenator Doublebock won a gold medal and Sunshine Pils took a silver medal at the 2011 Great American Beer Festival (GABF) held in Denver, Colorado this past weekend. The GABF is the largest commercial beer competition in the world, with 3,930 beers vying for medals (compared to 3,523 entries in 2010). A total of 248 medals were awarded. Competition entries were received from 526 breweries from 48 states plus Puerto Rico. This year's GABF competition attracted 167 beer judges from nine countries. Award-winning brewers received prestigious gold, silver and bronze medals in 83 beer categories covering 134 beer styles (encompassing subcategories).
