Position: Barback/Runner-Wednesday thru Saturday (10-20 hours per week)

Reports to:  Tasting Room Manager

Hours: Part-time; Year-Round

 

Job Description

As a member of the Tasting Room Pit Crew the Barback/Runner will support servers during operating hours. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who desires a challenging opportunity wants to grow into other brewery jobs. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Tröegs Brewing Company. Prior experience as a bartender and/or server is highly desirable.

 

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities 

  • • Arrive punctually, in a complete, clean and pressed uniform according to the guidelines set up in the Procedure Personal Appearance and Hygiene Standards. 
  • • Replenish inventory (gathers and puts away) throughout the shift. 
  • • Complete regular cleaning cycles around the Tasting Room emptying trash cans.
  • • Clean and wash glassware using 3 bowls sinks and dishwashers.
  • • Service the Tasting Room including table wipe down and dirty glass retrieval. 
  • • Keep a supply of clean napkins, coasters, baskets, stirrers, silverware and dishware. 
  • • Keep the bar and floor clean. 
  • • Clean any spillage and remove any broken glasses or plates. 
  • • Remove empty bottles and trash. 
  • • Assist in keg changes and restocking kegs according to First In, First Out policy.
  • • Serve food to the guests based on the Order Slip as needed. 
  • • Clean the bar, booths and bar stools as needed. 
  • • Clean, stock and check the restrooms throughout the shift. 
  • • Clean outside Tasting Room on a regular basis.

Job Description

Join the Tröegs Brewery team in caring for some of our most important customers. We are seeking an outgoing individual with retail experience and passion for beer to serve as an Attendant for the Brewery General Store. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is looking for a challenging and educational opportunity in a direct customer service role. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Tröegs Brewing Company. This position requires evening and weekend hours.

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities 

Be able to get to work on time and be ready to work at the start of your assigned shift.

Handle routine purchasing transactions.

Complete daily opening and closing Standard Operating Procedures.

Answer General Store phone lines, designate calls to brewery staff and respond to questions. 

Build and maintain visually appealing merchandise displays according to supervisor direction.

Restock merchandise and beer as needed. 

Maintain a neat and orderly workspace (both public and non-public areas).

Stay abreast of brewery and General Store news as presented by supervisor.

Attend daily shift meetings regarding goals and agenda for the day.

Pack and ship online orders for merchandise using Troegs E-store SOP.

Communicate pertinent customer service concerns to supervisor.

Provide general tourist information.

 

Physical Requirements

Walk and stand for prolonged periods.

Able to lift 32 pounds repeatedly.

Knowledge Needed

Strong knowledge of Tröegs Brewery, its history and its products.

General knowledge of the brewing process and how all Tröegs beers are produced.

Job Description

The Tasting Room server works on the frontline of brewery marketing. Your primary duty is promoting the brewery to walk-in customers by serving beer, answering questions and maintaining a clean work environment. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who desires a challenging and educational opportunity in a direct customer service role. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Tröegs Brewing Company. Prior experience as a bartender and/or server is highly desirable.

 

Daily Duties, Functions, Responsibilities 

  • • Educate guests on Tröegs Brewery and beers
  • • Pour beer for guests
  • • Fill growlers for guests
  • • Complete daily opening and closing tasks
  • • Operate Point of Sale terminal for routine transactions
  • • Work with all team members to maintain organized, sanitary and visually appealing workspace 
  • • Keep your working area and the tasting room free of trash and debris 
  • • Manage assigned bar section, quickly, efficiently and utilizing excellent customer service skills
  • • Operate as service bartender or growler filler in addition to bartender, as assigned
  • • Complete daily restock assignments
  • • Communicate pertinent customer service concerns with supervisor
  • • Create and uphold team-oriented environment throughout the Tasting Room
  • • Count drawer at close of business each day
  • • Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Position: Maintenance Technician

Job Classification: Full-Time, Year-Round

Reports to: Reports to Plant Maintenance Manager

The maintenance technician will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. Primary tasks include troubleshooting issues, repairing failures of all production and facilities equipment, and ensuring maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and safety practices of Tröegs Brewing Company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  •  Repair and maintain plant machinery and equipment in all areas of the facility, including brewhouse, cellar operations, and bottling.
  • Follow a preventive maintenance program, change oil in gearboxes, lubricate and do visual inspections on all equipment.
  • Repair or replace motor starters, contactors, push buttons, sensors and circuit breakers as needed.
  • Have an understanding of plumbing principles.
  • Able to operate a wide range of power and hand tools. Including grinders, drill presses, saws, welders and other metal and wood working equipment.
  • Have a working knowledge of basic computer programs—Excel, Word, Email.
  • Ability to operate scissor lifts and forklifts.
  • The Maintenance Technician must supply own hand tools. All power tools are company-supplied.
  • All other duties as required.

Experience

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • PLC experience, Siemens, Allen Bradley is preferred.
  • At least 3 years experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and basic electrical repair.
  • Ability to write detailed repair reports and have good verbal communication skills.

Physical Requirements

 • Must be able to repetitively lift up to 55 pounds

  • Able to climb and move ladders up to 40 feet.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.

Work Schedule

  • 40 hour work week with occasional overtime. Some evenings and weekends required.
