WHAT ABOUT THE BEER?

Ah yes, the beer. Everyone wants to know about beer. But first a little bit about this event. Our anniversary celebration IS NOT a beer festival. This is not a one-fee-for-all-you-can-drink event. This is an event to celebrate Tröegs Brewery and to raise money for Harrisburg River Rescue and Emergency Services.

As a fundraiser, we received a special permit that allows us to sell beer, and after our costs are covered proceeds benefit Harrisburg River Rescue and Emergency Services, a volunteer organization that provides valuable health services for Central Pennsylvania residents.

Here’s how it will work: Upon entrance, each person over 21 will receive three sample tickets. These will allow you to sample any three beers. After that, we are selling drink tickets for $1/each.

You can continue sampling for $1/each or we have two-tier pricing on full beers. Here’s a complete list of the beer we will be pouring:

Tier #1 – $3
Hopback Amber Ale
Tröegs Pale Ale
Rugged Trail Ale
Troegenator Doublebock
Dreamweaver Wheat
Nugget Nectar
Sunshine Pils
Dead Reckoning Porter
Scratch #1-2007 (California Common)
Scratch #2-2007 (Hoppy Porter)

Tier #2 -- $5
The Mad Elf
The Naked Elf
Scratch #3-2007 (Belgian Triple)
Scratch #4-2007 (The Flying Mouflan)
Scratch #5-2007 (Imperial Oatmeal Stout)

WE WILL STOP SELLING BEER TICKETS AT 7 P.M.

BEER TICKETS ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.

ALL TAPS WILL BE SHUT OFF AT 7:30 P.M. SHARP.

WHAT ABOUT THE MUSIC?

Along with some incredible beer, there will be a full-day of original music featuring bands from Central Pennsylvania and New York City.

Along with the bands, Tröegs Brewery employees will be stepping onto the stage throughout the day jamming with performers and doing mini-sets between acts.

Music starts at 12:30 p.m. and runs until the end of the event at 8 p.m. Here’s the line-up with approximate starting times:

God Bless Our Mobile Home (12:30-1:15 p.m.)
Suburban Transit (1:45-2:30 p.m.)
Julian Fist (3:00-3:45 p.m.)
Frog Holler (4:30-6:00 p.m.)
Mecca Bodega (6:30- 8:00 p.m.)

WHAT ABOUT THE TICKETS?

We have tried to keep the ticket price low to cover production costs and still be able to make a donation to Harrisburg River Rescue. Ticket prices are as follows:
$10/Advance
$20/Door

Advance tickets are available at the brewery until 5 p.m. on Friday, October 26. Day of tickets go on sale at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 27 at the brewery.

You can also purchase tickets via the Tröegs E-store or by calling the brewery at 717-232-1297. All E-store or phone order tickets purchased between now and the event date will be available at the will call window when you enter the brewery.

Tickets are also available www.roundtabletickets.com.
Must be 21 to enter
Children under 12 admitted free with guardian

WHAT ABOUT FOOD?

Along with a great beer selection, there will be food vendors featuring pit beef and pulled pork sandwiches, bratwurst and hot dogs with sauerkraut, French fries and sweet potato fries and a vegetarian dish.

We will also be serving up Mad Elf ice cream featuring vanilla ice cream with Belgian chocolate chips, dark cherries and Mad Elf sauce.

Soda and water will also be available from the food vendors.

WHAT ABOUT PARKING?

We have secured the two ground-level parking lots at the Pinnacle Health Building on Second Street for this event. These two lots will provide ample parking for our celebration. These parking lots are less than a five minute walk from the brewery. (See the handy parking map.)

The area in front of the brewery will be available for handicap parking, afternoon brewery purchases (not related to the celebration) and a drop-off point. Security guards will be posted in front of the brewery to assist with any parking issues.

WHAT ABOUT THE TASTING ROOM AND SATURDAY TOURS?

Our anniversary celebration will affect our regular Saturday hours. Because of our high number of loyal growler customers, we have decided to open the tasting room early for case, keg and growler fills.

The tasting room will open at 11:00 a.m. and close at 4 p.m. There will be a 2 p.m. public tour. In the tasting room, we will feature all five Scratch Beers. We may also have a few other surprises, but that depends on available cooler space for the kegs. Because of this special anniversary beer line-up, all our year-round beers will not be available for sampling or growler sales.

Finally, due to the expected number of visitors this weekend, we are limiting our samples to four 5-ounce samples per person.

There will be cases of Scratch #5-2007 available, along with Mad Elf cases and Mad Elf 3-liter bottles during tasting room hours.

Case and growler beer purchased in the tasting room cannot be brought into the celebration are and cannot be consumed on premise.
